Take a deep breath and know that this too shall pass. If it doesn’t, it’s time to seek professional help. In the meantime, use these strategies to cope:

  • Take turns getting up with the baby with your partner. Sleep as much as you can
  • Ask for help from your support network. Whether this is home-cooked meals, watching baby while you take a nap, etc. People are there to help.
  • Go for a walk by yourself
  • Eat as healthy as you can

can you get the baby blues more than once or is it from just having your first baby , yes you can if you think of it your hormones are all over the place before and just after giving birth to every baby not just your first one. In fact if it prolongs that’s when it can turn into post natal depression. Then I’d seek advice from your health visitor, midwife or doctors if it continues ,long term.
