Singing with your baby 0-12months

Here are songs/rhymes you can sing with baby to increase your baby’s learning through play, laughter, fun plus helping to develop strong family bonds, use with brothers and sisters and even teach them to grandparents.

1.

Hold out your 2 index fingers and say this out loud.

( pretending to be little birds).

“2 little dicky birds sitting on a wall”.

“ One named Peter one named Paul”.

At this point let them disappear around your back and say….

 “Fly away Peter fly away Paul”

 Then make then reappear and tickle baby’s belly saying…

“Come back Peter come back Paul.”

HOLD AND WIGGLE BABYS TOES AND SAY THIS RHYME.

“This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed at home. This little piggy had roast beef and this little piggy had none.

HOLD THE SMALLEST TOE AND SAY …

And this little piggy cried wee, wee, wee all the way home. Then tickle baby repeat with the other foot for this rhyme.

3. Hold baby’s palm and tickle in a circle saying “round and round the garden like a teddy bear.”(Then tiptoe your fingers up baby’s arm when you get to tickly under there tickle baby all over)

“  One step 2 step tickly under there.”

(Point to each of baby’s fingers on right hand).

Then say 1,2,3,4,5 once I caught a fish alive. (Then same with the other hand)

Use their hand to wiggle like a fish.

6,7,8,9,10 then I let it go a again why did you let it go, because it bit my finger sore.

Which finger did it bite

(Then point to baby’s right little finger and say…)

This little finger on my right (pretending to cry as if it hurts).
